Lincoln Highway Artist Creates Commemorative Print

Dianna Swartz, a self-taught artist living along the Lincoln Highway in Upper Sandusky, Ohio, has teamed up with Cass Frames (located on Galion's original Lincoln Highway alignment in 1913)...and produced a special edition Lincoln Highway commemorative image in the spirit of her popular line of the "Swartz State Pride" collection of prints.  This image honoring the Highway founders, President Lincoln and the first paved road across America, will be available in framed art, paper mache boxes, door hangers and other furniture.  Swartz has been painting for years, having created some beautiful and unique ornaments that have hung on the Ohio Governor's Mansion tree and the Whitehouse Christmas tree. Dianna's work has also been featured at the Museum of American Folk Art in New York.  Swartz has worked in many media, including oils and fabric. Most of her recent work, including The Lincoln Highway art has been done in acrylics.  Cass frames has been in business making quality picture frames since 1989, and took on Dianna's line of work in 1999, creating unique furniture boxes with her images as well as typical framed art.  One can find these items for sale on the Web at Lincolnhighwaytradingpost.com where a percentage of the proceeds will go to the Ohio Lincoln Highway Heritage Corridor (OLHHC), an organization dedicated to the promotion of the Highway as a tourist destination.  Retailers are also welcome to call Package Power at 419-468-6773.
