IN SEARCH OF . . .
THE DIXIE HIGHWAY

This map of Lima is from the 1922 Automobile Green Book. Many of the same streets highlighted on the 1920 map (previous page) are also highlighted here. However, this particular guide book has a knack for giving me fits by charting unusual routes outside the city that conflict with other sources. For example, the route between Lima and Wapakoneta charts a course that passes through the west side of Cridersville on Shawnee Road (the Dixie Highway passes through the east side of Cridersville). That charted course then followed roads now marked as National Road and Wapakoneta-Cridersville Road to reach Wapakoneta.
